Provenance Knits patterns
The first time I turned the pages of the book A History of Hand Knitting by Richard Rutt, I was entranced. The book is an inspiring tour de force of so many beautiful stitch designs created over the centuries by knitters. Many of these stitches and traditions caught my knitterly fancy and resulted in years of swatching and experimenting, and the addition of dozens more knitting books to the shelves. All inspiring me to one day create my own designs.
The day has arrived...
Provenance Knits is a collection of patterns that are inspired by the beauty of knitting stitches created by many hands, in many lands. From scarves and handwarmers, to wraps and other accessories - all to keep you decoratively warm!
As always...enjoy! Marsha White

Japanese books...
for the Adventurous Knitter!
The complexity of the stitch patterns, the elegance of their garment design, and Japanese designer's love of traditional knitting combine to create exceptional garments. There are several stitch dictionaries available too! Many knitters are inspired by the Japanese knitting books.
Beautiful lace designs...
Fiddlesticks Knitting knitwear designer Dorothy Siemens both delights and challenges knitters with her gorgeous knitting designs.
Dorothy has retired from knit design, and though her yarns are no longer available here, all her wonderful patterns continue to be.
Dorothy's patterns are very well written, with excellent easy to read charts, which I can attest to having knit several of Dorothy's designs. Enjoy!! Marsha White
